Sovereignty March – 35 years since proclamation of sovereignty of Moldova
On Monday, June 23, starting at 7:00 PM, President Maia Sandu invites all citizens to participate in Sovereignty March, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova – a turning point in our recent history.
The event will kick off at the monument dedicated to Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici on Alexei Mateevici Street, in the presence of artists Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici and Simona. Subsequently, participants will embark on a commemorative march towards the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova – the place where, in 1990, the Declaration of Sovereignty was adopted.
At the Presidency, speeches will be given by President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and President of the Parliament '90 Association Ion Hadârcă. The artistic program will feature Vali Boghean, Simona and Radu Dolgan along with Noroc band.
Additionally, on this occasion, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the 35 years since the proclamation of sovereignty was inaugurated at the Presidency – a visual journey into the atmosphere of those hopeful days when thousands of people chose freedom, dignity, and a democratic future.
