
Chairman of Defense Committee of Swedish Parliament visits Chișinău
Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Swedish Parliament Peter Hultqvist paid a visit to Chișinău. The official met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for National Security, Defense and Public Order Lilian Carp and MPs Oazu Nantoi and Ion Șpac.
The discussions focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden.
Thus, Lilian Carp highlighted the importance of the Moldovan-Swedish partnership, as our country benefits from continuous support both in terms of implementing sectoral reforms and through assistance programs.
Another topic was the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.
The Swedish official was in Chișinău on 2-3 June. Peter Hultqvist also had meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatîi, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valeriu Mija and presidential adviser on defense and national security Stanislav Secrieru.
