Moldovan, Albanian officials approach current issues
The Republic of Moldova and Albania are united by the same choice: the future in the European Union. Head of state Maia Sandu made the statement today. The official held a meeting in Tirana with President of Albania Bajram Begaj.
Maia Sandu said she discussed with her counterpart in Tirana about the necessary steps in our European path and the shared commitment to peace, stability and sustainable development in the region.
“In Albania, I had a warm and productive meeting with President Bajram Begaj. Moldova and Albania are united by the same choice: the future in the European Union. We discussed the necessary steps in our European path and the shared commitment to peace, stability and sustainable development in the region. We support each other because we desire the same thing: free, prosperous, and secure societies for all our citizens,” declared Maia Sandu.
Maia Sandu is in Albania to attend the sixth edition of the European Political Community Summit, held in Tirana.
Albania, like the Republic of Moldova, is a candidate country for joining the European Union.
