Moldovan Central Electoral Commission asks political parties to update information on leadership till July 14
The Central Election Commission (CEC) warns political parties that, according to recent legislative amendments, they are asked to submit information on the composition of their central executive bodies to the Public Services Agency (ASP) by July 14, 2025, in order to participate in the parliamentary elections due on September 28.
CEC reiterates that, under the new regulations, each party must register the numerical and nominal list of the president, vice-presidents and members of the central executive body, in accordance with the legal and statutory provisions of the formation. Otherwise, the formations risk exclusion from the electoral process.
The changes to the statute, party programme and leadership’s composition must be communicated to ASP within 15 days from the adoption of the concerned decision. At the same time, parties asked to maintain an updated register of members and present it to both CEC and ASP, according to requirements established.
The information on registrations and changes made will be published in the Official Journal and on the ASP’s website, being submitted also to the National Integrity Authority.
CEC specifies that it will consider exclusively the official data provided by ASP in the process of parties’ registration for the electoral race.
The electoral period for the parliamentary elections due in next autumn starts on July 14, and formations that do not comply by this date will not be able to participate in the elections.
