Moldovan foreign minister delivered public lecture at University in Latvia
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi today delivered a public lecture to students from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Latvia. The event was dedicated to Moldova's European path and provided an opportunity for open dialogue with young people interested in the political processes in the region.
The official said he spoke to the young people about Moldova's commitments in the implementation of essential reforms, the constant support of European partners, especially Latvia, and the aspiration of Moldovan citizens to build a democratic, secure, and prosperous society within the European Union.
‘It was an open discussion with curious and well-informed young people – future opinion leaders and promoters of European values,’ said Popșoi.
He emphasized Chișinău authorities' firm determination to advance on the European integration path, with the support of international partners.
On May 19-20, the official is on a working visit to the Republic of Latvia. The visit's agenda includes meetings with high-ranking officials, as well as with Moldovan citizens residing in Latvia.
