MIDR: Over 800 projects to directly impact well-being of families in Moldova through European Village Program
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) asserts on International Day of Families its commitment to families across the country by implementing hundreds of projects that transform communities. Many of them are conducted through the European Village Program, dedicated not only to local infrastructure development but also to improving the quality of daily life.
“We invest in infrastructure that supports families, where it matters most – in communities. We build and modernize kindergartens and schools, rehabilitate medical and social centers, cultural houses, arrange parks, sports fields, and playgrounds, so that the time spent together is more beautiful and healthier,” explains MIDR.
Within the European Village 2 edition, 804 projects will be carried out with a direct impact on the well-being of families:
“This involves 55 kindergartens and 44 schools; six medical offices and two social assistance centers; 77 cultural houses; 63 sports fields, 23 playgrounds, 19 parks, and leisure areas will be arranged; 243 water and sewerage projects will ensure access to basic utilities in hundreds of localities across the country; through 17 projects, 18 nursery groups will be created in early education institutions in the country. These investments represent a way to support families across the country and to say that every family matters. Family begins at home! With a nearby kindergarten for children, an equipped school, a playground, or a medical center a few steps away. This means safety and support for families in everyday life,” the Ministry of Infrastructure said.
