Bulgaria firmly supports European path of Moldova
Bulgaria remains a strong partner of the Republic of Moldova on its European path. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Georg Georgiev made the statement during a joint conference with head of the Chisinau diplomacy Mihai Popșoi.
The foreign minister reiterated the importance of bilateral relations and the visit of his Bulgarian counterpart to Chisinau, especially in the context of a significant event for the Bulgarian community in Moldova: the opening of a branch of Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, in Taraclia.
"The opening of this institution is proof of the excellent bilateral relations and a close partnership between our countries. The diplomas issued by the institution will be recognized throughout the EU, and this will ease the graduates' access to the European labor market," Popșoi said.
The official emphasized that the technical and financial assistance provided by the Bulgarian government brings Moldova closer to the European Union.
The Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister highlighted that his country supports the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, which is the right path for development and reforms. The Bulgarian official stated that the opening of the university branch in Taraclia is a strategic investment for the future of the Bulgarian community and the entire Moldovan society.
The two officials agreed that bilateral relations can be strengthened in key areas such as the economy, trade, tourism, energy, and education. They also emphasized the role of the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Moldova as an essential bridge in the cooperation between the two states.
