Prime Minister Dorin Recean today visited Călărași district, where he visited three local businesses that have benefited from government support.
In Căbăiești, the Prime Minister met with Ruslan Carasucenco, co-founder of Carneville farm - the only unit in the country specializing in turkey farming. In Călărași, he visited Ana Chicu, who runs 'Palplast', a polyethylene pipe manufacturing company that meets European standards. Another success story is the family of Vladimir Aghenie and Inga Dichii, who returned from Italy to open the café 'Călătorul', located at the entrance to the town of Călărași.
"All these businesses have developed with the help of government programs. Entrepreneurs from 'Carneville' benefited from support through ODA and AIPA and managed to diversify production. The 'Palplast' enterprise received energy compensation and has plans to expand and export to Romania and Ukraine. The 'Călătorul' café is supported through ODA programs 'Women in Business' and 'Female Entrepreneurship'," said Recean.
He emphasized the government's commitment to continue supporting entrepreneurs and sustainable economic development of the country.
"Moldova is capable thanks to its people, who invest courage, work, and innovation in local businesses and develop the country's economy. We will continue to support entrepreneurs, invest in the economy, and provide more opportunities for development," concluded Recean.
Călărași district has 43 localities and 74.6 thousand inhabitants.
