
International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression; Moldova's president says Moldova's mourn the 631 Ukrainian children killed in Russia's brutal war
President Maia Sandu has conveyed a message on the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. The official highlighted that "Moldova stands with Ukraine, where 631 children have been killed in Russia's brutal war."
The head of state reiterated that the country stood in solidarity with Ukraine.
"Today, on the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, we mourn the 631 Ukrainian children killed in Russia's brutal war. These are 631 stolen lives and destroyed families. Moldova stands with Ukraine - in pain, in solidarity and in the quest for peace," said Maia Sandu.
The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is marked each year on June 4. It was established on August 19, 1982, and is aimed at recognizing the suffering of children worldwide who are victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse.
At the same time, this day reaffirms the UN's commitment to protecting children's rights.
