Fuel prices continue to drop in Moldova
The week begins with further decrease in fuel prices. Diesel prices drop by 0.09 lei per liter, and petrol will be 0.02 lei cheaper.
More specifically, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced a maximum price for COR 95 petrol on 13 May of 22. 24 lei per liter, down by 0.02 lei.
Meanwhile, diesel will be sold for no more than 18.16 lei per liter.
ANRE explained at the end of last week that the decrease in fuel prices is driven by the OPEC+ decision to increase oil production by 411,000 barrels per day starting June 1, following a similar increase already applied for May. Additionally, another factor that influenced the decrease in fuel prices is the depreciation of the American dollar.
